When an ID is scanned, where does it go?

After an ID is scanned, it is sent and stored temporarily on a secure server with the highest levels of security in place. Checkpoint ID's scanning technology is used by massive agencies including TSA, the U.S. Military, the California DMV, etc., as well as thousands of bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and breweries nationwide.
